Organizational Meeting in Asni Marks a Milestone for Local Political Dynamics
On Saturday, May 23, a significant organizational meeting took place in the Asni municipality of the Al Haouz region, overseen by the regional secretariat of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM). This event was part of the ongoing organizational momentum the party is experiencing at both regional and local levels, under the slogan: "Registering for elections is a national responsibility... participation is a commitment to development." The meeting officially marked the establishment of the local party secretariat in Asni, attended by a notable presence of various party leaders, elected officials, and civil society representatives, alongside a remarkable participation of women, highlighting the increasing role of women in political and party activities.
The proceedings were chaired by Khadija Twizi, the regional secretary for the Al Haouz province, alongside Dr. Tarek Hanich, the regional secretary of PAM for the Marrakech-Safi region, and Ahmed Twizi, the head of the PAM parliamentary group in the House of Representatives. The event also saw attendance from numerous party members and significant political and civil figures. In her speech, Mrs. Twizi emphasized that the establishment of the local secretariat in Asni represents a crucial organizational milestone aimed at enhancing proximity policies and strengthening local party structures, thereby facilitating the engagement of citizens and welcoming various talents and competencies within the region.
She praised the commitment and involvement demonstrated by party members, asserting that Asni holds a special place within the Al Haouz region due to its promising natural and human resources. Furthermore, she recognized the efforts of Fatima Zahra Mansouri during the aftermath of the 2023 Al Haouz earthquake, where she continuously supported affected communities, embodying the values of solidarity and national responsibility. The meeting also acknowledged the role played by Samir Koudar, the President of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Council, for his engagement in monitoring the conditions of affected areas and supporting developmental and social projects in the region.
On the organizational front, the meeting resulted in the election of the young lawyer Abdelali Ait Thlath as the local secretary for the party in Asni, amidst an atmosphere of consensus and mobilization. Congratulations and best wishes were expressed to him and the new local office members for their party and organizational responsibilities. The composition of the local secretariat includes: Maryam Al-Alawi as the Deputy Local Secretary, Aicha Ait Bourhaim as Deputy Rapporteur, Al-Hussein Ait Lahsen Ahmed as Treasurer, Tarek Ouzion as Head of the Civil Society and Communication Committee, Mohamed Abenyous as his Deputy, Mohamed Aznalek as Head of the Education Committee, and Ibrahim Ait Mansour as his Deputy.
