easyJet Expands Routes with New Connections to Morocco

easyJet Announces Six New Routes, Expanding Moroccan Connections

In an exciting development for travelers, easyJet has unveiled plans to introduce six new routes, significantly enhancing travel options for its customers this year. This announcement includes two fresh connections between the United Kingdom and Morocco, marking a notable expansion in the airline's offerings. This month, easyJet has officially inaugurated a new base in Marrakech, equipped with three aircraft, a strategic move expected to generate approximately 100 new job opportunities in the region.

The launch of this base is closely tied to the introduction of six new routes that will be operational in the upcoming winter season. Among these new services is a direct flight from Newcastle to Marrakech, set to commence in November, alongside a route connecting Birmingham to Agadir. With these additions, easyJet's Moroccan route network has now grown to a total of 58 routes, with 30 of these specifically serving Marrakech.

Kenton Jarvis, the CEO of easyJet, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, "We couldn't be happier to launch our base in Morocco for our 20th year of operations in the country and to mark the milestone of 20 million passengers flown over that time. This is a significant milestone for our development in the region, providing more travel opportunities than ever before for our airline and holidays for customers, while simultaneously contributing to the local economy through tourism and the jobs we are creating."

Marrakech, a vibrant and culturally rich destination, is among the newly connected locations, further solidifying easyJet's commitment to expanding its presence in Morocco and enhancing travel experiences for its passengers.
