Court Upholds Initial Ruling Against Rapper "Bouz Flow"

On June 19, 2026, it was reported that the ordinary appellate chamber of the Criminal Court at the Court of Appeal in Fes has upheld the initial ruling issued by the Criminal Court in the First Instance in Sefrou. This ruling sentenced the well-known rapper Jawad Asradi, popularly known as "Bouz Flow," to three months of suspended imprisonment. The court's decision comes after the Public Prosecution filed charges against him for offenses related to insulting an organized body and disrespecting public officials while they were performing their duties. These charges were based on provisions in the penal code, following the release of songs that were deemed to contain statements undermining institutions and individuals while they were executing their official tasks.
