Significant unrest broke out in a central London neighborhood following the quarterfinal match of the 2026 World Cup, where France triumphed over Morocco with a score of 2-0. According to police reports, the confrontations occurred on Edgware Road, a major thoroughfare located northeast of Hyde Park in the British capital. Eyewitness footage circulating on social media depicted dozens of Moroccan fans gathering in the area, with some throwing objects at law enforcement officers.

A police spokesperson confirmed that one officer sustained injuries, and four individuals were arrested amid the chaos on Edgware Road. The Metropolitan Police responded to the scene after a large crowd formed, obstructing traffic.
