CGEM Celebrates 20 Years of CSR Charter and Honors 21 Companies

CGEM Commemorates Two Decades of Corporate Social Responsibility

On Monday, the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM) held a significant ceremony at its headquarters in Casablanca to commemorate the 20th anniversary of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Charter. Launched in 2006, this charter aims to foster a more responsible economic performance among Moroccan companies. The event was marked by the awarding of the CSR Label to 21 companies, which included both new recipients and those renewing their commitments to the charter.

The theme for this year’s ceremony was "20 Years of the CSR Charter: From Commitment to Impact," emphasizing the progress made in integrating social responsibility within the business landscape of Morocco. The CGEM’s initiative has played a crucial role in promoting a vision of performance that not only focuses on economic value creation but also encompasses social advancement and environmental stewardship.

This celebration not only highlights the achievements of the past two decades but also sets a stage for companies to reflect on their social responsibilities and the impact they can have on society at large. As businesses continue to evolve, the importance of CSR becomes increasingly evident, leading to sustainable practices that benefit both the economy and the community.
