Showcasing a New Wave of Designers
The Academy of Fashion Casablanca (CMA) recently held its Graduate Show 2026 under the inspiring theme "Becoming the Power of a New Generation," which brought together students, industry professionals, partners, media, and key stakeholders within the fashion ecosystem for a significant celebration dedicated to Moroccan creativity and future talent. This event, which serves as a pinnacle of the academic year, highlighted the final projects of students through an array of original collections that showcased their technical prowess, imaginative flair, and personal artistic vision.
This Graduate Show represents the culmination of years of rigorous training, research, and experimentation. The evening began with a captivating performance titled "Becoming," a unique creation that emerged from an authentic creative dialogue. Costumes sculpted by second-year fashion design students using lace scraps were transformed into an exquisite choreography by the dancers of F.O.L. Under the direction of Angela Stepanova, this performance offered the audience a stunning fusion of textile artistry and movement.
Exploring Diverse Themes in Fashion
Following the performance, attendees were treated to an impressive display of collections presented by students specializing in fashion design and creative industrial modeling. Conceptualized as genuine final projects, these collections illustrated the rich diversity of creative approaches nurtured within the academy. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, cultural references, and historical or contemporary themes, the collections addressed a wide array of subjects, including identity, personal transformation, memory, the passing of knowledge, the dialogue between tradition and modernity, and the interplay between the body and its environment. This expansive thematic exploration reflects the students' ability to engage with complex ideas through their designs, thereby enriching the Moroccan fashion landscape.
