Casablanca Set to Host Major Plastic, Packaging, and Recycling Events in 2026

Major International Events in Casablanca

From July 8 to 11, 2026, Casablanca will emerge as a pivotal hub for professionals engaged in the plastic, packaging, and recycling industries, with the simultaneous occurrence of three significant international events organized by the Moroccan Plastics Federation (Fédération marocaine de la plasturgie). This highly anticipated gathering will feature over 320 exhibitors from 32 countries and is expected to attract nearly 20,000 industry professionals.

Driving Innovation and Sustainability

The Moroccan plastic, packaging, and recycling sectors are on the verge of a substantial developmental leap. The Moroccan Plastics Federation will host three major international showcases at the international exhibition park of Casablanca (OFEC-AMDIE): the 12th edition of the International Plastics Forum and Exhibition (FEIP), the 6th edition of PACK EXPO, dedicated to packaging, printing, and logistics solutions, and the 2nd edition of Global Green Plast, focusing on recycling and the circular economy.

These events are organized under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE). Their overarching goal is to promote industrial innovation, decarbonization, and the advancement of the circular economy while solidifying Morocco's status as a leading industrial and technological platform in Africa.

This initiative aligns with a comprehensive vision advocated by the Federation, aiming to encompass the entire industrial value chain, from raw materials to finished products. It will bring together key stakeholders from plastic and rubber transformation, as well as packaging in all forms—be it cardboard, glass, metal, or plastic. Additionally, the event will address printing, logistics, recycling, energy efficiency, and decarbonization.

Various user sectors will also be well represented, including professionals from the agro-food industry, agriculture, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and the automotive sector. These gatherings aim to serve as both a technological showcase and a platform for exchanges regarding the industrial challenges of the future.

The 2026 edition will particularly emphasize Moroccan innovation. Among the projects to be unveiled is the first intelligent recycling machine designed and manufactured in Morocco. Other packaging innovations will also be showcased, reflecting the vibrant nature of the national industrial ecosystem and its ability to develop solutions that meet the growing demands of ecological transition.

According to the organizers, more than 320 exhibitors from 32 countries are expected to participate, alongside approximately 20,000 professional visitors, including buyers, industrialists, decision-makers, and institutional representatives. Beyond their commercial significance, these events aim to foster dialogue around new industrial technologies, high-efficiency energy equipment, sustainable packaging solutions, and low environmental impact production models.

These initiatives are part of the decarbonization efforts undertaken by the Moroccan industry to enhance its competitiveness in international markets. They also strive to promote a circular economy that creates value and new opportunities for businesses.

In line with the royal vision supporting South-South cooperation, these events also aim to strengthen ties between Moroccan economic operators and their African counterparts. They will provide a conducive environment for the development of industrial partnerships, technology transfer, and the emergence of joint projects tailored to the continent's needs.

Finally, the organizers highlight the particular relevance of these exhibitions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These platforms will allow SMEs to discover the latest technological advancements, access green financing solutions, identify subcontracting opportunities, and expand their partner networks both nationally and internationally.

Through this initiative, the Moroccan Plastics Federation aims to contribute to the growth of a more innovative, competitive, and sustainable industry, while consolidating Morocco's role as an industrial and technological crossroads serving the development of the African continent.
