In a significant move aimed at strengthening institutional media performance, the Prime Minister of Yemen, Dr. Sha'ya Mohsen Al-Zandani, has issued Decision No. (69) for the year 2026, which appoints a new advisor to the Minister of Transport for media affairs.

The first article of the governmental decree stipulates the appointment of the prominent academic journalist, Ahmed Maher Muhammad Abdullah, as the media advisor to the Minister of Transport. The second article confirms that this decision will take effect immediately from the date of its issuance, accompanied by directives to publish it promptly in the official gazette of the Republic of Yemen.

This appointment comes as a culmination of an illustrious professional and academic journey for journalist Ahmed Maher, who is now recognized as one of the leading academic media figures in Yemen. He is currently in the final stages of preparing to obtain his doctorate in the Faculty of Arts at the prestigious Al-Zahra University in Fes, Morocco, after achieving outstanding results in both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Faculty of Media at the University of Aden.

Ahmed Maher's excellence is not limited to his academic achievements; he has also distinguished himself in the field and professionally, earning the "Journalistic Courage Award" in the Republic of Yemen for the year 2024. This accolade reflects the government's commitment to empowering talented young individuals in key positions within the state.

This decision was made in the capital, based on an official proposal submitted by the Minister of Transport, Mr. Mohsen Ali Haidara Al-Omari, following the completion of necessary procedures and approvals from the Cabinet.
