Morocco and Germany Strengthen Ties Through Strategic Dialogue

Strengthening Morocco-Germany Relations

In a significant development reflecting the deepening relations between Morocco and Germany, a joint declaration was adopted following the second session of the Morocco-Germany Multidimensional Strategic Dialogue. This important meeting took place on Thursday in Rabat, where Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, engaged with his German counterpart. The dialogue underscored the substantial progress achieved under Morocco’s New Development Model, which aims to benefit all Moroccan citizens.

During this session, the German Foreign Minister commended Morocco’s active and constructive role, particularly under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in promoting both regional and international peace and stability. The German official highlighted the Sovereign's personal commitment as the Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee and recognized the Royal Initiatives designed to support the development of the African continent. This reflects Morocco’s strategic importance as a key partner of the European Union, NATO, and Germany in Africa, facilitating vital connections between the North and the South.

Moreover, German Foreign Minister Mr. Johann Wadephul expressed appreciation for Morocco’s ongoing efforts in combating terrorism and managing irregular migration, which are crucial for ensuring stability and security in the region. Such collaborative efforts reinforce Morocco’s position as a pivotal player on the international stage, contributing to enhanced cooperation and understanding among nations.
