Outstanding Achievement of Moroccan Student in Oman
In an impressive showcase of talent and hard work, Moroccan student Mahjoub Zidou from the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech has achieved remarkable recognition. He secured the top position nationally as the Top Scorer in Morocco during the "Wassla - Connecting Arab Youth" event. Furthermore, he ranked sixteenth regionally in the academic competition at the Regional Conference of Youth on Climate in the Middle East and North Africa (RCOY MENA 2026).
The conference was held in Oman from September 15 to 19, 2026, in various locations including the capital, Muscat, and the Wilayat of Manah, which hosted part of the event at the Oman Museum. This regional youth gathering witnessed extensive participation from young people across the region, highlighting the importance of collective action on pressing issues.
This achievement is particularly significant considering the fierce competition, as over 18,300 applications were submitted for the conference. Ultimately, around 500 participants from diverse academic disciplines were selected, representing more than 22 countries from the Middle East and North Africa.
