The latest statistics from the airport authority reveal a remarkable surge in passenger traffic at Marrakech Menara Airport for the first quarter of 2026. The airport welcomed 2,786,781 travelers during the initial three months of the year, a significant increase compared to the 2,495,383 passengers recorded at the end of March 2025. This uptrend underscores the airport's pivotal role in facilitating air travel within Morocco and internationally.

A detailed analysis of passenger distribution between domestic and international flights illustrates that Marrakech Menara Airport served 2,682,672 international travelers, marking a 10.99% increase, along with 104,109 domestic passengers, which reflects a substantial 36.47% rise compared to the same period last year. These figures highlight the growing preference for international travel from this key Moroccan airport.

In March alone, the airport recorded a total of 1,014,459 passengers, a notable increase from the 892,190 passengers in March 2025, representing a 13.70% growth. The top five international flight routes for March included significant traffic on the Marrakech-Menara to Paris-Orly route, which ranked second with 70,466 passengers (2.60%), following the Mohammed V to Jeddah route at 73,215 passengers (2.71%). Other notable routes included Marrakech to London-Gatwick with 53,185 passengers (1.97%), and Mohammed V to Paris-Orly with 52,307 travelers (1.93%). The Marrakech to Paris-Charles de Gaulle route accounted for 43,732 passengers (1.62%). These results reflect a vibrant air transport sector at Marrakech Menara Airport, establishing it as one of the main gateways for tourism into Morocco.

On a national scale, Moroccan airports collectively recorded a total of 8,913,041 commercial air travelers by the end of March 2026, demonstrating an 11.15% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the National Airports Office.
