Marrakech Menara International Airport has experienced an impressive surge in air traffic dynamics, registering an increase of 11.68% by the end of March 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to data released by the National Airports Office. The total number of passengers passing through this air hub exceeded 2.78 million in the first three months of the current year, compared to approximately 2.49 million passengers during the same timeframe last year.
The details of air traffic reveal that international flights accounted for the largest share, surpassing 2.68 million passengers, which reflects a growth rate of 10.99%. Meanwhile, domestic flights witnessed a remarkable increase of 36.47%, welcoming over 104,000 passengers. Specifically, in March alone, the number of travelers exceeded one million, marking a 13.70% increase compared to March 2025, indicating a rapid growth pace.
In terms of airline routes, several international destinations stood out, including the Marrakech-Orly and Marrakech-Gatwick routes, alongside other major connections linking Morocco to European and Gulf capitals. On a national scale, airports across the kingdom also reported positive performance, welcoming nearly 8.91 million passengers by the end of March 2026, an increase of over 11%, further confirming the momentum in the aviation sector and its pivotal role in supporting tourism and the national economy.
