Inauguration of New Security Facilities in Morocco: A Step Towards Modernization

Modern Security Infrastructure Launched in Laayoune and Fes

In a remarkable celebration marking the 27th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI's ascension to the throne, the General Directorate of National Security has officially launched operations at two new police stations on Wednesday, July 29, in the regions of Laayoune and Fes. This initiative aligns with the practical implementation of the Directorate's strategy aimed at modernizing police infrastructure, enhancing its facilities, and bringing security services closer to citizens and users, thereby reinforcing the concept of community policing.

State-of-the-Art Police Station in Laayoune

The General Directorate of National Security has inaugurated the new headquarters for the third police district in Laayoune, strategically located in the "Cooperation" neighborhood, covering a total area of 190 square meters. This integrated police station has been constructed according to the latest safety and security standards established for security facilities. It features administrative offices, reception areas, guidance services, and modern access facilities, along with essential logistical equipment.

This new facility is fully connected to all operational communication systems, security databases, and advanced service information systems provided by national security services. Its primary objective is to deliver first-level police services to all categories of users, particularly in the areas of administrative document processing and handling judicial matters, while adhering to quality and national efficiency standards.

Architectural Marvel in Fes for Tourism Services

In a similar vein, the Directorate has announced the opening of a new headquarters for the tourism police in Fes. This facility stands out with its unique architectural design, representing a sophisticated structure that beautifully blends the authenticity of traditional Moroccan architecture, respecting the historical and cultural significance of the intellectual capital, with the demands of the latest international security and safety standards.

The building is equipped with the most modern logistical and technical means, focusing on providing all necessary access facilities to ensure an ideal environment for welcoming and servicing users. This new center aims to enhance the capabilities of the tourism police and improve the quality of services offered to both local and foreign visitors, especially in the various attractions and tourist hubs that the city of Fes boasts.

The inauguration of these two security facilities underscores the ongoing commitment of the General Directorate of National Security to execute its strategic vision for updating police facilities and equipping them with the latest technologies. This modern approach enhances the working conditions for national security personnel and elevates the level of service provided to citizens and visitors alike. On this significant anniversary, these achievements symbolize the security institution's dedication to supporting the comprehensive development of the Kingdom, bolstering security and stability, and bringing governance closer to citizens, thus contributing to enhancing the cultural and tourist appeal of Moroccan cities and solidifying Morocco's image as a modern and hospitable country confidently moving towards the future under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
