In this crucial match held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, FUS Rabat demonstrated resilience and strategic prowess, bouncing back from a previous narrow loss to ASC Ville de Dakar. With two wins and one loss already in the tournament, the FUS managed to assert their dominance against a formidable opponent. Earlier in the competition, they had convincingly defeated JCA Kings from Ivory Coast (85-55) and Maktown Flyers from Nigeria (97-72), solidifying their position as strong contenders.
Following this win, FUS Rabat improved their record to three victories and one defeat, with one final game scheduled against Al Ahly from Egypt on Sunday. Meanwhile, Club Africain concluded their campaign with an impressive four wins and one loss, showcasing their competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
The 2026 edition of the BAL consists of three phases: the first took place in March in Pretoria, South Africa, followed by the current round in Rabat from April 24 to May 3. The final phase is set to take place later this month at the BK Arena in Kigali.
