easyJet Expands Its Flight Network with New Routes to Morocco

easyJet Launches New Direct Flights from France to Morocco

easyJet, the renowned low-cost airline, has announced the introduction of two new direct flight routes connecting France to Morocco, set to commence in October 2026. This strategic move is part of the airline's ongoing expansion effort, aimed at strengthening its presence within both the Moroccan and European markets. The first route will link Bordeaux with Agadir, while the second will connect Nantes with Essaouira, with each route offering two flights per week. This development reflects the increasing interest among European tourists and the Moroccan diaspora in exploring Morocco's captivating tourist destinations.

Strategic Expansion and Restructuring of Routes

As part of a broader strategy to restructure its flight network, easyJet has confirmed the addition of six new routes, focusing on direct connections between French cities and Moroccan destinations that are witnessing a surge in tourism appeal. This initiative is particularly timely given the noticeable shift in travel demand patterns. Moreover, the airline has decided to convert its seasonal routes from Lille to Marrakech and Strasbourg to Marrakech into year-round services, following successful trials and bolstered by the rising attractiveness of Marrakech as a year-round tourist and investment destination.

This expansion comes on the heels of easyJet's increased presence in Morocco, marked by the opening of a new base in Marrakech in April. Consequently, the number of routes operated by easyJet to Morocco has now reached 58, including 30 routes specifically targeting Marrakech. This growth signifies Morocco's emerging status on the air transport map between Europe and North Africa, making it a pivotal player in regional travel dynamics.
