Let-Køb to Close by July 31st, Discounts Now Available
Conny Thomsen, the proprietor of Let-Køb in Bedsted, has announced the impending closure of her store, which will officially shut its doors on July 31st. As part of the winding down process, she has begun offering significant discounts on various items, making it an opportune time for local residents to shop and save. Starting from July 1st, customers have been able to take advantage of a 20% discount on selected grocery items, snacks, beverages, cleaning supplies, and pet food, among others.
However, it is important to note that some items, such as fresh produce, alcohol, over-the-counter medications, magazines, and daily newspapers, will remain at regular prices. This decision comes as Conny aims to manage her inventory effectively during the final weeks of operation. "It wouldn’t make sense to discount perishable goods since I continue to place orders for them," the 54-year-old shopkeeper explained. With the closure of another local grocery store in Ravsted just months prior, this sale was initiated not only to clear stock but also to respond to the increased customer traffic following Let-Køb’s reopening.
Conny has observed a positive response since launching the sale, stating that shoppers have been filling their carts with more items than usual. She noted that the community is saddened by the closure, with many expressing concerns about where they will obtain their packages after the store's last day. Some customers have inquired about the availability of cold products and dairy up until the final day, with Conny clarifying that she cannot guarantee their presence as the store approaches its closure. The shopkeeper emphasized the logistical challenges of maintaining stock, especially for items requiring larger orders to qualify for free delivery.
As the countdown to July 31st continues, Conny Thomsen encourages locals to visit the store to take advantage of the discounts and to support their community shop during its final days. This closing marks the end of an era for Let-Køb, which has served the Bedsted area for many years.
