Train Services Suspended at Marrakech ONCF Station for 48 Hours

Significant Disruption to Train Services at Marrakech Station

The ONCF (National Railway Office of Morocco) has officially announced a temporary suspension of all train services at the Marrakech railway station due to essential construction work related to the high-speed train project linking Kénitra and Marrakech. This suspension will be in effect from April 21, 2026, at 9 PM until April 23, 2026, at 11 PM.

During this period, no trains will operate to or from the Marrakech station, specifically affecting the route between Marrakech and Sidi Brahim. Consequently, all train arrivals and departures will be redirected to the Sidi Brahim station, which will serve as the temporary hub for passengers traveling to and from Marrakech.

To mitigate the impact on travelers, the ONCF has arranged alternative transportation options. Buses will be deployed to facilitate the transfer between Sidi Brahim and Marrakech with adjusted schedules to accommodate the expected travel times. Passengers departing from Marrakech will need to take these buses, which will be scheduled to leave an hour earlier than usual to align with the standard train timetable from Sidi Brahim.

Furthermore, the ONCF has assured the public that staff will be present at both stations to assist travelers throughout the duration of the works. Passengers are encouraged to stay informed about the latest updates via various communication channels, including the ONCF’s official website, a dedicated mobile app, and customer service centers.

Normal train services to and from Marrakech are expected to resume on April 24, 2026, restoring regular operations for travelers.
