Tassaltant Residents to Gain Access to Drinking Water: New Connection Requests Open
The mayor of Tassaltant has revealed promising developments regarding the provision of potable water to residents. This announcement follows a recent meeting held at the Marrakesh-Safi region's governorate, where discussions centered on various stalled projects, some of which date back to before 2017. The governor of the region emphasized the importance of accelerating these initiatives to ensure their implementation.
According to information shared by the mayor with close associates, the governor has instructed the establishment of a dedicated office to accept applications for drinking water connections. This service will commence on the upcoming Monday and will be available to residents of localities included in projects that have yet to come to fruition. This initiative will operate under defined conditions and criteria.
The application window will remain open for three months, during which eligible applications will be connected to the drinking water network. The mayor has indicated that the old system for water provision will be phased out entirely as part of a broader program, which is expected to be overseen by the regional multi-service company for Marrakesh-Safi. This change aims to improve the quality and reliability of water supply services for the affected communities.
