Comprehensive Police Operations Lead to Significant Arrests
According to a security source, recent field operations conducted by law enforcement agencies have resulted in the arrest of 47 individuals involved in various offenses. Among those detained, 20 individuals were found in a state of public intoxication, while 9 others were charged with inciting corruption. Additionally, 6 individuals were apprehended for drug consumption, and the operation also targeted 8 people engaged in begging around Mohammed V Street. Furthermore, 4 minors were detained for verification of their status.
Following the completion of these field interventions, the arrested individuals were transported to the premises of the first and 22nd security districts to prepare the necessary legal documents against them. They will subsequently be referred to the relevant provincial services to complete judicial procedures under the supervision of the public prosecutor.
Ongoing Efforts to Combat Crime
The Tangier police have also made headlines by apprehending a dangerous fugitive implicated in drug trafficking, theft, and kidnapping. In another incident, a suspect was arrested in Dakhla while riding a motorcycle, found in possession of 17 kilograms of hashish. Additionally, two individuals were caught red-handed in Dakhla with 61 slabs of hashish and 260 drug pills. In Laayoune, two brothers were arrested for their involvement in a violent assault and an attempted hit-and-run with a vehicle.
