In light of a context marked by a sharp increase in kerosene prices, directly resulting from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and a slowdown in demand for certain routes, Royal Air Maroc has been compelled to take measures to adjust its international network. The airline explained in an official statement that this exceptional rise in operational costs significantly impacts the entire global aviation sector, prompting numerous airlines to revise their flight schedules and temporarily adjust their capacity.
In this regard, Royal Air Maroc has announced a temporary suspension of flights on the following routes:
- Casablanca – Bangui
- Casablanca – Brazzaville
- Casablanca – Kinshasa
- Casablanca – Douala
- Casablanca – Yaoundé
- Casablanca – Libreville
The airline will take all necessary measures to assist affected passengers and mitigate the resulting damages as much as possible. The statement concluded that the national carrier is closely monitoring the developments in the international situation and will work to gradually resume these routes as soon as operational and economic conditions allow.
