Fans Released After Serving Jail Time in Morocco
On Saturday, April 18, three Senegalese supporters and one French national were released from a Moroccan prison after serving a three-month sentence due to their involvement in violent incidents that took place during the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) final in Rabat on January 18. This event, which was highly anticipated, unfortunately turned chaotic, leading to legal actions against several fans. While these four individuals have now been freed, it is important to note that 15 other supporters are still serving sentences ranging from six months to one year, reflecting the serious nature of the disturbances that occurred during the match.
