Raja Club Athletic Withdraws from Marrakech Training Camp
In a surprising turn of events, Raja Club Athletic has canceled its planned training camp in Marrakech, along with a friendly match against Hassania Union Sport d'Agadir, originally scheduled for this Saturday. This decision was made following a meeting between the club's management and the technical staff, where financial and logistical considerations were cited as the primary reasons for the cancellation.
The club's management has proposed that the team continue its preparations at their training academy in Bouskoura, which they believe provides adequate facilities for effective training. South African coach Fadlu Davids has been informed of this change, and it appears that the club is confident that the local facilities can meet their training needs.
Additionally, Raja Club Athletic has communicated with Hassania Union Sport to express their apologies for the cancellation of the friendly match. In lieu of the originally scheduled game, Raja Club has instead arranged to play a friendly match against Chabab Mohammédia on the same day. Furthermore, a second match may also be planned for their reserve team and substitute players.
This decision comes as Raja Club Athletic prepares for the second half of the season, where they currently sit in second place in the league standings with 30 points.
