Rabat to Showcase Equine Excellence at the Morocco Breeders Show 2026

On May 9 and 10, 2026, the city of Rabat will proudly host the prestigious Morocco Breeders Show, also known as the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) 2026, at the National Institute of the Horse Prince Moulay El Hassan in Dar Essalam. This remarkable event is expected to gather nearly 200 horses alongside 50 breeders, celebrating the exceptional quality of Arabian horse breeding in Morocco.

The Morocco Breeders Show is organized by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC) in partnership with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) and the Royal Moroccan Association of Purebred Arabian Horse Breeders. This event marks the third stage of an international circuit comprising seven stages, held under the high patronage of Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as detailed in a recent press release.

Following stages in Australia and Bahrain, this competition will make a significant stop in Morocco before continuing its global journey. True to the ethos of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup, the show will emphasize the talents and qualities of horses bred in the host country.

An international jury, featuring experts from Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Oman, and Germany, will evaluate the elite horses in competition. The event will include six championships designed to reward over 60 horses for their exceptional qualities and performances.

Omar Skalli, General Director of SOREC, describes the event as a "genuine opportunity" for Moroccan Arabian horse breeders to showcase their expertise and promote the Kingdom's elite horses on the international stage. Beyond the competitive aspect, the 2026 edition will also feature a variety of activities for the general public, including a children's village and a food court, aimed at creating a festive atmosphere for families and equine enthusiasts alike.
