Strengthening Consumer Protection through Strategic Alliances
In a significant development for consumer rights and banking mediation, the Moroccan Banking Mediation Center, known as Al Wassit Albanki, has taken a pivotal step by entering into two new partnership agreements with the Moroccan Federation of Consumer Rights (FMDC) and the National Federation of Consumer Associations (FNAC). This collaboration was formalized in a signing ceremony held in Rabat, which was presided over by Abdellatif Jouahri, the Wali of Bank Al-Maghrib. The primary aim of these agreements is to enhance citizens' access to banking mediation services and to foster amicable resolutions of disputes between banking clients and financial institutions.
The partnerships are expected to leverage the local presence of the associations affiliated with FMDC and FNAC, thereby bringing mediation services closer to consumers across Morocco. This initiative is set to provide a more structured, efficient, and user-centric approach to addressing the needs of banking sector users. It builds on a year-long collaborative effort between Al Wassit Albanki, FMDC, and FNAC, which has already included various meetings and seminars aimed at highlighting the role and benefits of banking mediation for consumers.
