In the early hours of Tuesday, May 5, law enforcement officers from the Urban Judicial Police of the first security district in Marrakech successfully apprehended a young man in his twenties, suspected of being involved in the trafficking of hard drugs. This operation took place in the vicinity of shisha cafes and nightlife spots along Mohammed VI Street. The security action followed the establishment of a well-coordinated sting operation near one of the shopping centers on the mentioned street, leading to the suspect's arrest in the act of committing the crime.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the police proceeded to the suspect's residence in the Charifia Gardens neighborhood. There, they confiscated an electronic scale and an amount of hard drugs exceeding fifty grams, in addition to a motorcycle believed to be utilized for the distribution of these prohibited substances in the alleys of Gueliz. The arrested individual has been placed under police custody, as ordered by the competent public prosecutor's office. This measure is part of a judicial investigation aimed at uncovering any additional potential accomplices before the suspect is brought before justice.
