New Police Stations Open in Morocco: A Commitment to Modernization and Citizen Services

Celebrating Modernization in Security Infrastructure

In a grand celebration marking the 27th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI's ascension to the throne, the General Directorate of National Security has inaugurated two new police stations in the regions of Laayoune and Fes on Wednesday, July 29. This significant achievement is part of the practical implementation of the Directorate's strategy aimed at modernizing police infrastructure, enhancing facilities, and bringing security services closer to citizens and users, thereby reinforcing the concept of community policing.

Integrated Police Station in Laayoune

The new headquarters for the third police precinct in Laayoune has been launched, strategically located in the "Cooperation" neighborhood, covering a total area of 190 square meters. This facility is an integrated police building, designed according to the latest safety and security standards applicable to police installations. It features administrative offices, reception and guidance areas, as well as modern accessibility options, alongside essential logistical equipment.

The station is connected to all operational wired and wireless communication systems, security databases, and advanced service information systems provided by the national security services. Its primary goal is to deliver first-tier police services to all categories of users, particularly in the realm of administrative document processing and handling judicial files, all within its territorial jurisdiction and specialized competencies, while adhering to national quality and efficiency standards.

A Modern Architectural Marvel in Fes

In a related development, the Directorate has also unveiled the new headquarters for the tourist police unit in Fes. This facility stands out with its unique architectural design, representing an elegant architectural landmark that harmoniously blends the essence of traditional Moroccan architecture with the latest international security and safety standards. The building is equipped with the most advanced logistical and technical resources, focusing on providing all necessary access facilities to ensure optimal conditions for receiving and welcoming users.

The objective of this new station is to enhance the capabilities of the tourist police unit and improve the quality of services offered to citizens and visitors, whether they are foreign tourists or Moroccan nationals, across various tourist attractions and hubs in the city of Fes.

These two new police buildings underscore the unwavering commitment of the General Directorate of National Security to continue implementing its strategic vision for modernizing police facilities and equipping them with cutting-edge technologies. This initiative not only improves the working conditions of national security personnel but also elevates the level of reception and services provided to both citizens and visitors alike. On this significant anniversary, these achievements reflect the security institution's commitment to supporting the comprehensive development of the Kingdom and enhancing security and stability, while bringing administration closer to the citizens. This contributes to the cultural and touristic enhancement of the cities within the Kingdom, solidifying Morocco's image as a modern and welcoming country confidently progressing towards the future under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
