The official emphasized that Iran is currently enriching uranium at the Mount Fars facility, and Netanyahu conveyed to Trump that the objective is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, rather than pushing for a military option.
The official further noted that Iran's nuclear program has suffered significant setbacks, as approximately 20 scientists have been killed, centrifuge operations have been disrupted, and Tehran's ability to produce ballistic missiles has diminished. Current estimates indicate that Iran still possesses between 1,500 and 1,600 ballistic missiles. While economic pressures on Tehran are mounting, the military option remains on the table. The official pointed out that Iran, which is currently in a weakened state and deterred by the prospect of direct confrontation with Israel, understands that any attack on Israel would be met with a vigorous Israeli response.
According to this high-ranking political official, it is 'certain' that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is still alive. Netanyahu also presented maps to Trump illustrating that Israeli presence in Syria is limited and strictly for security purposes. Furthermore, the official indicated that Israel is considering conducting additional military operations in refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, with Netanyahu instructing the security establishment to prepare a plan for such actions.
