National Rally of Independents Announces Candidates for Marrakech Elections

The National Rally of Independents (RNI) has officially finalized its list of candidates for the upcoming electoral events in Marrakech, during a formal meeting held at the party’s regional headquarters. This move signifies the early preparations for the upcoming elections, reflecting the party's commitment to engaging with the local electorate.

According to the information disclosed during the meeting, Abdel Wahid Chafki has been endorsed as the candidate for the Menara district, while Faisal Derdari has been selected for the Gueliz district. Additionally, Said Lakourch will represent the city of Sidi Youssef Ben Ali. This organizational strategy aims to bolster the party's local presence in the city.

During the meeting, Mohamed Chouki, the party president, emphasized that these selections are part of a clear political vision centered around proximity to citizens and being attuned to their concerns. He noted that the upcoming phase necessitates skilled individuals capable of continuing to engage with the residents' expectations.

Chouki further stated that the reforms initiated by the government were not hasty or arbitrary decisions, but rather stemmed from a thorough assessment of social and economic constraints, especially in a global context characterized by rapid fluctuations and increasing challenges.

The new leader of the party reiterated that Aziz Akhannouch's government has laid the foundation for a comprehensive reform path. He pointed out that evaluating the government's experience should be based on tangible achievements backed by statistics and indicators, rather than on slogans or political debates.

Moreover, Chouki highlighted that the party continues to pursue a strategy of proximity and listening through its regional tour, affirming that this approach reflects a political philosophy based on dialogue, consultation, and building trust with citizens. This strategy aims to enhance the party's readiness for the upcoming elections and strengthen its field presence.
