Marrakech Authorities Intensify Efforts Against Drug Trafficking
On Friday, April 17, 2026, officers from the second district "Qchich" of the fifth security zone in Marrakech apprehended an individual with a criminal history, suspected of possessing and distributing narcotic pills. According to a reliable source, this operation was executed following thorough surveillance conducted by the mentioned security personnel around the suspect's activities in the old city neighborhood of Arsa Al-Bardai. The authorities managed to catch him red-handed with 20 pills of the drug "Rivotril" and a sum of money believed to be the proceeds from this illicit activity.
The arrested individual was taken to the headquarters of the second district "Qchich," where a report was filed documenting his arrest and the confiscated items. He was subsequently handed over to the judicial police department in the old city, in line with the directives of the competent public prosecutor, to deepen the investigation and uncover any potential extensions of his illegal activities.
