Strengthening Bilateral Relations between Luxembourg and Morocco
From May 4 to May 7, 2026, Lex Delles, the Minister of Economy, SMEs, Energy, and Tourism of Luxembourg, embarked on an official economic mission to Morocco. This mission was orchestrated by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Casablanca, the Luxembourg Embassy in Morocco, as well as the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Cooperation, and the Ministry of Foreign Trade. The primary objective of this mission was to enhance bilateral cooperation and to foster new opportunities for collaboration in fields of mutual interest. Minister Delles led a delegation consisting of 40 members, which included representatives from 22 Luxembourgish companies and five institutions.
Key Meetings and Collaboration Opportunities
During the course of the mission, Minister Delles engaged in several key meetings aimed at discussing various avenues of economic partnership with Moroccan officials, including Nadia Fettah Alaoui, the Minister of Economy and Finance. These discussions were pivotal in identifying sectors where Luxembourg and Morocco could work together to boost economic growth and explore innovative business opportunities.
