According to a security source cited by assafir24.ma, the foreign national was arrested in Marrakech, where a subsequent check against the International Criminal Police Organization database, known as INTERPOL, revealed that he was listed under a Red Notice and was being sought internationally at the request of French authorities. He is suspected of involvement in a case related to passport forgery and the international trafficking of such documents.
The source further explained that the suspect has been subjected to extradition proceedings, as ordered by the competent public prosecutor's office.
