Launch of a Regional Office to Enhance Arab-African Cooperation

On May 1, 2026, a significant initiative was unveiled in Casablanca with the inauguration of the regional office of the Arab Union for Construction and Real Estate Development, an event aimed at fostering collaboration between Arab and African nations. The event saw the participation of notable figures, including Dr. Laheq Ghanem Al-Otaibi, the President of the Union, and Salah El-Din Al-Badri, the Secretary-General. It was announced that Mohammed Rashid Tidlaoui has been appointed as the Regional Director for the Maghreb region, a move that highlights the Union's dedication to having experienced leadership capable of executing its strategic objectives effectively.

With its formation, the office will be tasked with promoting South-South cooperation, supporting sustainable urban development initiatives, and facilitating cross-border real estate investments. Members of the Regional Office

The newly formed regional office for the Maghreb has appointed an enthusiastic team of members, including Mohammed Rashid Tidlaoui (Morocco), Amal Al-Masanda (Morocco), Abdel Fattah Al-Aref (Libya), Abdel Majid Al-Gharah (Morocco), Rehab Mohamed Jadallah (Egypt), Walid Kabeer (Algeria), Salah El-Din Ahnab (Morocco), Mourad Dridi (Morocco), Fatima Zahra Bahgawi (Morocco), Anas Azzam (Morocco), and Abdel Rahman Tori (Marketing Manager). Representing the Laayoune office are Omar Khnebilah and Salma Al-Amari, both from Morocco.

This initiative, under the auspices of the Arab League, aims to create a robust platform for collaboration and investment in the construction and real estate sectors across the Maghreb, further enhancing regional ties and fostering sustainable development throughout the region.
