Crackdown on Illegal Alcohol Trade in Marrakech: 27 Liters of Moonshine Seized

The security forces in the seventh district of the Dawodiat area in Marrakech successfully dismantled the criminal activities of a 40-year-old moonshine dealer on Monday. This operation was the result of a meticulous security plan that involved close monitoring and surveillance, ultimately leading to the suspect being caught red-handed.

During the search, authorities confiscated nearly 27 liters of contraband alcoholic beverages that the arrested individual was preparing to distribute in the neighborhoods of Douar El Kadiya, Dawodiat, and surrounding areas. To facilitate his swift movements and evade law enforcement, he was utilizing a Yamaha motorcycle.

Additionally, the police seized a mobile phone used for contacting customers and a sum of 1200 dirhams, believed to be proceeds from his illicit sales. Following the directives of the competent public prosecutor's office, the suspect was placed under provisional detention to allow for further investigation into the full extent of his operations, with the aim of bringing him to justice for the charges against him.
