Meet the Artists
Cheb Hocine, the evening's headliner, is a percussionist and vocalist who has made significant contributions to introducing the raï genre in Norway. Hailing from Oran, Algeria, Hocine blends local folk sounds with contemporary pop influences, creating a unique musical experience. The lineup also includes Karim Bouhlal, a gifted violinist with Moroccan roots, who adds his distinct musical perspective to the performance, further enriching the cultural tapestry of the night. Leading the Atlas Band is Ali Bouabdillah, who not only plays the keyboard but also provides vocals.
