Al Ahly SC Eyes Offensive Reinforcements for Upcoming Season

The renowned Al Ahly SC is actively seeking to bolster its attacking lineup during the ongoing summer transfer window, in close collaboration with their newly appointed head coach, Hussein Amouta. Recently, the club held a press conference at its headquarters in Zamalek to officially introduce the Moroccan coach to the media, marking the commencement of his tenure ahead of the 2026-2027 season.

Reports from Croatian media outlets have indicated that Al Ahly has made a substantial offer to acquire the services of forward Monsef Bkira during this summer’s transfer period. The club's commitment to strengthening their attack has led to further negotiations, as a source within Al Ahly revealed that discussions are already underway with Bkira, while talks with another player, Sofiane Ben Jdida, have resumed following the conclusion of the Moroccan league.

Strategic Focus on Key Targets

The source elaborated that negotiations are still ongoing with the Jordanian Ali Alwan, and communication remains active with representatives of the Algerian striker Nadir Ben Bouali, who currently plays for the Hungarian club Gyori. Al Ahly has earmarked a substantial budget of up to $5 million to secure two foreign signings, and if negotiations progress positively with any of these four targets, this amount will be allocated for new offensive reinforcements.

Coach Hussein Amouta's primary focus is on acquiring Sofiane Ben Jdida from the Moroccan club FUS Rabat. The coach's agent, Anis, has taken charge of this matter and has reportedly received approval from the player. However, the management of FUS Rabat has been demanding high financial compensation and is awaiting final decisions regarding other offers for the talented striker that are expected to arrive at the Moroccan club this summer.

The source also mentioned that Nadir Ben Bouali is considered a priority for the club's management alongside Monsef Bkira, and Coach Amouta is amenable to this strategy. In the event that an agreement cannot be reached with the first three options, the Jordanian Ali Alwan remains the most viable alternative for strengthening the attack.
