Moroccan Ministry Launches Housing Caravan for Citizens Abroad
In an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing the living conditions of its citizens residing overseas, Morocco's Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing, and Urban Policy has unveiled the Urban Planning and Housing Caravan. This innovative program kicked off in Tangier and is designed to provide comprehensive housing, urban planning, and investment services tailored specifically for Moroccans living abroad. The initiative is part of a broader national campaign titled “Urban Planning and Housing at the Service of Moroccans Around the World,” which is spearheaded by Minister Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri. Connecting Diaspora with Home through Mobile Services
The Urban Planning and Housing Caravan is a mobile unit that will traverse various cities across Morocco, including Oujda, Meknes, Errachidia, Beni Mellal, Marrakech, Agadir, Laayoune, Casablanca, and Rabat. Each caravan is outfitted as a fully functional mobile agency, providing essential services such as reception, information, guidance, and support specifically aimed at Moroccans returning to or investing in their homeland. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between the Moroccan government and its citizens abroad, ensuring that they are well-informed about real estate options, investment opportunities, and public housing programs like the “Daam Sakane” direct housing assistance program.
Furthermore, the caravan will facilitate direct interactions between visitors and representatives from the ministry, urban agencies, and the Al Omrane Group, allowing for a personalized approach to inquiries and services. This initiative complements a series of efforts already in place, including reception points at transportation hubs and open days organized by urban agencies to enhance awareness and accessibility for the diaspora. Through these measures, the Ministry aims to create a more integrated and supportive environment for Moroccans living abroad, ultimately fulfilling the royal vision to connect them with their roots while improving the quality of services available to them.
